Beetlejuice The Musical

I have had the pleasure of working with Michael Cassel’s marketing team to create the VCE Drama aligned education resource for Beetlejuice The Musical, which has been selected for the VCE Playlist in 2025. My job is to take a story about death, hauntings, and general supernatural mayhem, and transform it into curriculum-friendly resources for students and teachers alike. It’s a strange sort of thrill, dissecting a world of possessed dinner parties, sentient sandworms, and gleeful chaos through the lens of dramatic elements and theatre design. The show itself is a wild, unfiltered celebration of the weird and the macabre, and somehow, in the middle of all that madness, it manages to say something real about grief, family, and identity. My role is to help classrooms unearth those moments… with a wink and maybe a scream or two along the way. Watch this space for the education pack launch in Term 2, 2025…
