Peter Pan

I have often wondered what it is about a piece of literature that enables it to become ‘A Classic’. Now, having spent nine months in ‘Neverland’, I have a few ideas... perhaps it is the timeless characters, who we can see ourselves in. Themes which resonate deeply with readers, regardless of the passing of time. Escaping the every day. Alighting quiet dreams and refuelling dwindling ones. And underneath it all, little poignant glimpses into situations that make us vulnerable, or inspire us, and challenge us to question what we believe in, and why. ‘Peter Pan’ has done all this for me, and was also definitely the biggest show I’ve directed to date! Flight harnessing, puppetry, fight sequences and a full orchestra fed into the theatre through complex radio channels, our Wonderland was nothing if not ambitious.

A hellova design team came together for this one; Joseph Noonan as Set Designer, Siobhain Geaney on Lighting Design and Amber De Bruyn on Hair and Makeup Design, the show was as visually glorious as the production meetings were unmanageably hilarious.
