The Witches

Working with Director and Choreographer Lisa Wright as her Directorial Mentor and Producer of this production of ‘The Witches’ (Roald Dahl, adapted for stage by David Wood) was utterly hilarious. We had an awesome team of designers, including the visionary Ashlee Hughes, who is a total wonder when it comes to mentoring kids. Siobhain Geaney on Lighting Design, Tom Backhaus on Sound, Kat Webster on Makeup, Deb Hallam on Costume, and as a career first for me, we included a scentscape in consultation with Janelle Donnelly. Anthony De Masi came on board as a Magic and Illusions mentor, which allowed us to learn about safe handling of live flame, and creating the visual illusion of shrinking and disappearing. Good times for all! Oh, and the cast and mentee team on this one? Utter heaven; I wanted to keep them all in my pocket forever.
